CHARITY MORE
R.E.C.E.
From a very young age, Charity knew her path would involve working with children. She has always brought a sense of kindness, thoughtfulness, and deep empathy to everyone she meets.
Charity's passion for the outdoors was ignited during childhood summers spent camping at Pinery Provincial Park. She has fond memories of exploring the dunes of Lake Huron, building forts on empty campsites, and hiking forest trails for hours.
Her connection to nature was further shaped by her paternal grandparents and their beautiful retirement house that they built in Massey, Ontario. Nestled deep within 220 acres of breathtaking Canadian Shield forest, Charity spent a great deal of time there with her family. Under her grandparents' stewardship (guided by the Ontario Crown Forest Sustainability Act) she learned to tap trees for maple syrup, ride ATVs, and explore the woods, and creating her own "fortress of solitude" at the property's tallest peak.
In high school, Charity's dedication to the environment led her to the E3 Specialist High Skills Major program. She spent an entire semester in an outdoor classroom at Apps Mills, where she mastered wilderness survival, shelter building, canoeing, and tree planting. She also gained skills in leadership, sustainability, and aquatic species identification, culminating in a three-day canoe portage trip through Massasauga Provincial Park.
Charity followed her passion to Mohawk College in Hamilton, where she graduated from the Early Childhood Education program. She has been actively working as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) since 2020.
Charity is thrilled to join the North 44 team in the Preschool 1 classroom! She is looking forward to connecting with the children and their families, so please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself!
