Meagan is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with a Bachelors of Education and Music. She knew that her calling was in education and working with children, and after having her daughter in 2022 she found such joy in witnessing the amazing development that happens from such a young age. She gained her ECE designation in 2025 and has felt that she has truly found her place to be in Early Childhood Education.
During her studies at teachers' college, she discovered Forest Schools and felt that it combined both her love for nature and fostering children's learning. She has always believed there is so much to discover outside and opportunities for curiosity, risk taking, and confidence is endless. She has experience in a Reggio Emilia inspired toddler classroom where she created programming that helped connect them to nature in the classroom every chance she could get.
In addition to natural exploration, Meagan loves to incorporate music into her daily classroom routines. You'll often find her singing songs throughout the day, and sharing her love of percussion instruments and the ukulele. She believes music to be incredibly therapeutic and a great way to engage children in everyday tasks.
Meagan is an outdoors enthusiast who spends her spare time hiking, camping, running, and exploring the trails in Halton Hills with her family. If she isn't outside, you can always find her indoors with a good book, her crochet hooks, or practicing with her Tuba or ukulele.
She is incredibly excited to join the North 44° team in March, 2026 and explore the magical greenspace nearby with the Preschool One class.
